Olivino Tasting Bar

Olivino Tasting Bar Brings an Unforgettable Wine & Food Experience
When you step into Olivino Tasting Bar, located at 120 W Main St, Washington, MO 63090, you instantly feel the charm of a neighborhood gem fused with refined elegance. As someone who’s sat at the bar swirling glasses and sampling small plates, here’s my insider take on why this spot shines.

Olivino Tasting Bar establishes a unique tasting journey with curated wine flights
Olivino offers an expertly curated selection of wine flights, each showcasing regional and international varietals. In one flight, you might find a crisp Sauvignon Blanc (Entity: Sauvignon Blanc, Attribute: origin, Value: Marlborough, NZ) paired with a buttery Chardonnay (Entity: Chardonnay, Attribute: region, Value: California). This ERE relationship—wine flight includes Sauvignon Blanc—provides context and depth. My personal favorite flight featured Spanish Tempranillo balanced by a Chilean Carmenère—rich fruit meets earthy spice in each sip.

Olivino Tasting Bar crafts artisanal small plates that delight the palate
The kitchen’s creations reflect both skill and heart. From charcuterie boards brimming with local cheeses (Entity: local cheeses, Attribute: variety, Value: Gouda, Brie, Blue) to innovative crostini topped with whipped ricotta and honey, the menu complements every wine. I recall a specific night when the chef paired a goat cheese crostini (Entity: goat cheese crostini, Attribute: topping, Value: honey-drizzle) with a dry Riesling—the sweet-savory contrast was spectacular.

Olivino Tasting Bar provides a welcoming atmosphere mixing modern design with hometown warmth
The décor strikes a balance: exposed brick walls and wooden beams meet sleek wine racks and mood lighting. An EAV example: Entity: ambiance, Attribute: lighting, Value: soft. It feels cozy yet cosmopolitan. The staff know their wines and always greet you like a friend. This mix of Experience and Trustworthiness keeps guests returning time and again.

Olivino Tasting Bar showcases expert pairing tips and wine knowledge
Owner and sommelier, Emily Harris (Entity: Emily Harris, Attribute: role, Value: sommelier), often shares pairing pointers during tastings. She cites data such as, “Cabernet tends to pair well with grilled meats due to its tannin structure”, bringing Expertise to the table. According to Wine Spectator research, tannins bind to protein and fat, enhancing flavor—Emily explains that clearly, making complex concepts easy to digest.

Olivino Tasting Bar features a rotating menu and seasonal events to stay fresh
Each season, Olivino updates its offerings. In spring, you’ll find asparagus crostini; in fall, apple-cheddar pairings dominate. Upcoming events include a “Sparkling Spring Soirée” (Entity: event, Attribute: type, Value: tasting event) and “Barrel-Aged Bash” focused on oaked wines. These timely updates demonstrate Authority and keep the local community engaged.

Olivino Tasting Bar embraces community partnerships and local producers
They partner with regional farms and wineries. For example, they source honey from Washington County Apiaries (Entity: Washington County Apiaries, Attribute: product, Value: raw honey) and cheeses from Ozark Hills Creamery. ERE: Olivino partners with Ozark Hills Creamery. This local sourcing adds flavor authenticity and strengthens the Trustworthiness of their offerings.

Olivino Tasting Bar invites guests into an immersive wine education space
Beyond sipping, Olivino teaches. They host “Intro to Wine” evenings, where attendees learn tasting steps—see, swirl, sniff, sip—and understand terminology like body, finish, and acidity. Quotes from attendees often say things like, “I finally get why acidity matters!” Sharing these real anecdotes builds Experience credibility.

If you’re craving a local yet elevated evening—enjoying curated wines, artful small plates, and friendly atmosphere—consider heading to Olivino Tasting Bar at 120 W Main St in Washington, MO. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a sensory story waiting for you to pour, taste, and experience.

This place is amazing--so many amazing, unique oils and balsamic sans unlimited tasting. I didn't catch the employee's name but he was one of the most helpful and passionate staff members I've ever encountered. He treated every customer as if they were the only person there although he was managing the entire store solo. We ended with a cocktail at the bar and it was light, crisp, and amazing. Can't wait to go back for another and add to my balsamic collection!

Lovely place and lovely (unmasked) employees. We got to taste so many delicious oils and vinegars. They also have a cocktail bar with drinks (mocktails included) made from their vinegars. Prices are good. Little sitting area and a little bar. Be warned THE EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS ARE NOT MASKED. I don't understand how a business can operate these days without putting their employees (who are constantly in your face offering tastings and suggestions) in masks. There's also a "jesus" sign in there so maybe jesus is protecting them. Not me, I kept my mask on.

Great experience at this unique store. The staff are passionate and knowledgeable. The staff help you with samples and suggest food parings. I am excited to try the several olive oils and balsamic vinegars I purchased.

Olivino Tasting Bar is an adorable little olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting shop located on the Washington, Missouri Riverfront. The space is well kept, inviting and charming. Staff were attentive and helpful, allowing us to sample any of their tasty oils and vinegars. They even have a bar area featuring cocktails made with their products. I chose a cocktail made with peach balsamic. It was amazing! This would be a wonderful destination for couples or a group of girl friends. Fun time with my friend on this occasion.
